In a few days, my family and I will be celebrating Christmas! And the following week, we will be celebrating the beginning of another new year!
This will be my second Christmas with my mom, so I have a better idea of what to expect. If you remember, last Christmas my mom and I had only been partnered together a short time. So everything was very new to me.
Me with my sisters, Roo and Buffy!
For many, this year will have smaller family gatherings. And fewer parties or celebrations. All due to the continuing effects of Covid-19. Although there do seem to be more activities going on this year, than last.
Do you have plans to travel? Or gather with family and friends? Like all holidays, we are staying home because it is a busy time for my dad in the kennel.
But we won’t be alone! My brother, Eric, will be home for Christmas. He will come on Christmas Eve after he finishes working. And gets to be here until the morning after Christmas. I can’t wait to see him!
My mom has told me that my grammie usually comes for Christmas. But like last year, she may not be able to be here. We are watching the weather and will know more as we get closer. I sure do hope she can come!
My beautiful sister, Roo!
My dad put up our Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago. Which is very pretty! My mom and I, with my dad’s help, have been busy wrapping a few gifts to put under the tree. I wonder if they wrapped anything for me!
Roo wanted you to see her wearing the Santa hat. But she says it is way more fun to grab it and run!
And today my mom took lots of photos of me and my sisters, in front of the tree. We had a lot of fun and did lots of laughing. Especially when Roo kept grabbing the Santa hat.
But most of all, we enjoyed the extra treats my mom gave us! Although my mom said her favorite part was getting beautiful photos of us.
I hope Santa fills my Christmas stocking!
For all of my friends who celebrate Christmas, I wish you and your family a joyous day filled with many blessings. And wishes for the coming year to be extra special in every way!
